Now Biloxi is located right on the Gulf of Mexico, and its a gambling town in a big way, most if not all of the new construction is connected with the casinos. Now this is not a bad thing because the casinos have subsidised hotels, and this is just what we wanted.

We checked into the Imperial Palace with the Bridie, Paddy, Eileen, Monica and Trevor. While Kitty and James checked into a different casino hotel.

The Imperial Palace

We met Peter and Ann (Kitty's brother), James's children and there partners in a local fish restaurant on the Friday evening.

Some of Kitty's neighbours had driven down from Memphis (Lyn & Edwina and Steve & Wanda) to attend the wedding

The wedding was in the early evening on Saturday. It was so hot the humidity was through the roof. When we packed our wedding clothes we did not think about the heat, English suits are not the best thing for keeping cool in Mississippi,  we nearly melted in the humidity.

The wedding was held in the grounds of a restaurant called 'Anthonys under the Oaks' looking on to the bay

The service was shorter than I had expected, which was a good thing bearing in mind how hot it was.

After the ceremony we retreated to the restaurant and its wonderful air conditioning, and several cold drinks....
