We then boarded the coach and travelled South all day. Back then the Polish roads left something to be desired.

We eventually arrived in Zakopane at about 8pm in the evening. We had travelled over 1200 miles in 36 hours. We were dirty and tired and went straight to bed

The next morning we opened the curtains and saw trees and mountains

We had breakfast which comprised of cold meats heavily laced with garlic, fresh bread rolls and coffee and then we explored the area around the hotel
